  • There seemed to be an open dance session in Freedom Square on 14th Street. It was pretty cool actually.
  • It is a drum circle but at one point, people started with a limbo line. The amazing thing about the drum circle is that it attracts young and old, and supercedes racial and social constructs. It's really an amazing thing to experience.
  • It is as much a dance circle as it is a drum circle!
  • Pan handling definitely isn't easy. Our reaction to those who ask for money is to look the other way. To an extent I understand. <br /> After spending time with some of these guys, I realized that they feel less that human. Now, even though I don't often hand out money, I at least look them in the eye and tell them hello like I would with any other human being.

  • It was pretty cold out there and the weather had no effect on this guy's playing! I threw in a little money and snapped his photo. This was at night, and I think a 1.4 would have really been able to capture him a little better.<br /> <br /> Neighborhood: Gallery Place/Chinatown
